Welcome to the Technology and Livelihood Education 7 Alternative
Delivery Mode (ADM) Module on Preparing an Inspection Report of the Hand
Tools, Drawing Instruments, Equipment, and Paraphernalia Received in
Technical Drafting!

The hand is one of the most symbolized part of the human body. It is often
used to depict skill, action and purpose. Through our hands we may learn, create and
accomplish. Hence, the hand in this learning resource signifies that you as a learner
is capable and empowered to successfully achieve the relevant competencies and

What I Need to Know

This module was designed to help you explore about Preparing an


Inspection Report of the Hand Tools, Drawing Instruments, Equipment,
and Paraphernalia Received in Technical Drafting .The scope of this
module permits it to be used in many different learning situations. The
language used recognizes the diverse vocabulary level of students. The
lessons are arranged to follow the standard sequence of the course. But the
order in which you read them can be changed to correspond with the textbook
you are now using.

Having a drafting tools and equipment, it is a must to have an


inspection report regularly to state its working condition. Having a report will
let the custodian be aware if the tools are free from defects and damages
before using it in the drawing process.

What’s In

In our previous topic, you have learned how important it is to inspect


your drawing tools regularly and what are the necessary forms needed when
borrowing or purchasing drawing tools and equipment. Aside from checking
the working condition of the tools you’ve borrowed, the next step that you
must do as a responsible user of the tools is to make an inspection report of
its working condition. In this module, you will learn how to make an inspection
report of your tools.

Situation:

Having a Technical drawing subject, you need some drawing tools and
equipment to do your drawing activities. Your school allows you to borrow the
needed drawing materials. As a borrower of the items, you are responsible to
take care of it. As time passed by, you have observed some defects and
damages on the tools. What will you do so that the custodian will be able to
know the working condition and address the problem properly?

What is It

INSPECTION REPORT

The Inspection Report is used to state the condition of the drafting tools
and equipment that are used or inspected especially if defects or damages
are found. Any defect or damage in the drafting instruments must be reported
at once to the tools and materials custodian. The custodian will then conduct
further checking of the particular tool that was reported. An inspection report
will be used to identify and verify the specific troubles. This may also be used
to report lost drafting equipment.
