The program commenced with the solemn rendition of the National Anthem, led by
the distinguished Mrs. Minerva Dela Cruz. This patriotic start set the tone for the event,
emphasizing unity and collective efforts in the face of potential disasters.
Mrs. Jobelle Y. Dela Cruz, exuding a sense of reverence, led the gathering in a
heartfelt prayer, invoking divine guidance and protection for all those involved in disaster
management and response efforts.
The opening remarks were presented by the accomplished Mrs. Mary Rose P. Rivera.
Her words resonated with the attendees as she emphasized the significance of disaster
preparedness, emphasizing the need for a proactive approach to safeguard lives and property.
She expressed her gratitude to all participants and contributors, emphasizing the collaborative
nature of disaster management.
The heart of the seminar featured two esteemed guest speakers who brought
their invaluable expertise to the fore. Mr. Ron Dexter Ventura, a Municipal
Responder, shared practical insights gained from years of hands-on experience in
disaster response. His presentation shed light on the intricacies of effective
coordination during disaster scenarios and the crucial role of local responders in
managing crises.
Following Mr. Ventura, Mr. Rolex A. Gegabalen, Jr., a Life Guard, captivated
the audience with his comprehensive understanding of water-related emergencies. He
discussed the significance of swift and informed action during aquatic incidents,
highlighting the critical role of life guards in ensuring safety.
The seminar culminated with the main topic of the event: Basic First Aid.
Participants were enriched with knowledge about initial medical care and response
techniques that can significantly alleviate suffering and prevent further harm during
emergencies. Practical demonstrations underscored the importance of quick thinking
and effective application of basic first aid principles.
