Another perspective that this has given me is about the letters of Bonifacio to Emilio Jacinto.
These contain the accounts of the Tejeros Convention from Bonifacio himself. He stated that Emilio
Aguinaldo rigged the elections to favor him in winning the position of president of the new revolutionary
government. This shows that we have accounts that can back up the existing theories that can be
legitimized with a thorough examination. But according to the video, it will be up for auction. I am
extremely opposed to that decision because our history should belong to our people and shouldn't be
locked up in someone’s private collection and be only seen by some. It should belong to a museum that
will exhibit it for the country’s constituents. Our history should be accessible to everyone no matter
where they are in the social class because our history is what made the Philippines that we are living in
today.
