SAFETY TRAINING
1.0 PURPOSE
To provide the knowledge necessary to perform jobs safely by establishing expectations and
responsibilities for employees on how to perform job tasks. Knowledge acquired by participation in
training is one of the methods used to create an effective safety culture.

- Notifying EHS when new employee(s) come to DGM to work at the first day.

7.0 PROCEDURE
- When an employee first begins working. EHS personnel will train newcomers. In case there is no EHS
personnel present, OHS officers (group 6) will do a safety briefing to the new first, a training by EHS
- When an employee is given a new assignment for which training has not previously been provided.
- When new hazards are identified in the workplace by new machines, subtances, processes and so on.
The knowledge can become forgotten after a while, so it is necessary that refresher training be conducted at
least once/year following training plan or when needed.
All employees attending training shall be required to demonstrate adequate knowledge retention as shown
through a test. Employees not demonstrating adequate knowledge retention shall be retrained and retake the
test until adequate retention is demonstrated. The passing criteria for the test is 70 percent.
7.4 Recordkeeping
All employees attending required in-person safety training classes shall sign an attendance record. The
recordkeeping should be kept in digital format to prevent missing.
