2. Identify, analyze, formulate, research literature, and solve complex computing problems and requirements reaching substantiated conclusions using fundamental principles
of mathematics, computing sciences, and relevant domain disciplines.
3. An ability to apply mathematical foundations, algorithmic principles and computer science theory in the modeling and design of computer-based systems in a way that
demonstrates comprehension of the tradeoffs involved in design choices.
4. Knowledge and understanding of information security issues in relation to the design, development and use of information systems.
5. Design and evaluate solutions for complex computing problems, and design and evaluate systems, components, or processes that meet specified needs with appropriate
consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
6. Create, select, adapt and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern computing tools to complex computing activities, with an understanding of the limitations to
accomplish a common goal.

VII. Course Description:

Ethics deals with principles of ethical behavior in the modern society at the level of person, society, and in interaction with the environment and other shared
resources (CMO 20 s 2013)

Morality pertains to the standards of right and wrong that an individual originally picks up the community. The course discusses the context and principles of
ethical behavior in modern society at the level of individual, society, and in interaction with the environment and other shared resources.

The course also teaches students to make moral decisions by using dominant moral frameworks and by applying a seven-step moral reasoning model to
analyze and solve moral dilemmas.

At the end of the course the students should be able to:
1. Recognized the life of Dr. Jose P. Rizal from his birth to martyrdom
2. Described Rizal’s heroism and realized the significance of his ideals in his present time.
3. Recognized the life, works and writings of Rizal particularly his moral and intellectual legacies to the Filipino youth.
4. Reflected the relevance of Rizal’s teachings to contemporary situations.
5. Gained inspiration and insight from the experiences of Rizal as a son, student, patriot and nationalist.
6. Valued the spirit of patriotism and nationalism.
