Rationale and
Description The Department of Education issue the amendment to DepEd
Order (DO) No.14, series 2023, entitled MATATAG: Bansang
Makabata, Batang Makabansa agenda, the Department of Education
(DepEd) adopts the enclosed Policy Guidelines on the Implementation
of the National Learning Camp (NLC).

The NLC aims to create a camp-like atmosphere by integrating


fun and engaging activities to foster learner interests, socio-emotional
skills, personal growth, and character development. Participation of
teachers in the NLC is voluntary.

With this, Clementa F. Royo Elementary School will be having


National Learning Camp -End of School Year Classes particularly on
remedial and advancement, this school year 2022-2023. End of the
School Year classes refer to both remedial and enrichment classes

offered within the prescribe number of days during the school break.

Eligible Learners for summer class are those pupils from


kindergarten to Grades 1-6 that despite of educational intervention
given by the teachers in this time of pandemic, suffered learning gaps
and deficiencies in their competency level, thus, needed extra attention
to ensure their readiness for transition to the next grade level. Thus,
this activity is design to all pupils regardless of gender, race, civil
status and religion to learn in the field, to have equal opportunity in the
implementation of the program and to be fair in giving equal outcomes.
Furthermore, this will improve pupils’ level of attainment in
different learning areas. More so, this will serve as an opportunity for
learners to attain additional learning opportunities through tutorials,
mentoring, coaching or other way of delivering organized learning
experiences.
