Transcript:
Peter: Hi Anne. I haven’t seen you for such a long time. How have you been?
Anne: Hi Peter. Nice to see you again. Recently, I have been busy helping out at a local
orphanage.
Peter: Oh, sounds interesting! Tell me a bit about the place you work.
Anne: Yes, it’s really cool. It’s a huge space with lots of activities and events every
weekend.
Peter: What do you do there?
Anne: I tutor the children. They are really bright and lovely. After school, we often pick up
trash and clean up the area. Everyone joins in and I am quite proud of our work. Now,
the place looks a lot better.
Peter: That sounds fun! I used to help at a home for elderly people. It was hard and I felt
quite tired at first. But I always went home feeling pleased that I’d done it. Doing
charity gives us opportunities to meet new people and learn new skills.
Anne: I felt the same. I didn’t use to like speaking to new people, so it gave me more
confidence. Did you use to do it every weekend?
Peter: Sure, I spent a lot of time there until I got too much homework. It was a pity.
Anne: I think the semester is ending soon. Do you want to come along with me this summer?
It would be a nice idea.
Peter: Well, definitely. I’d love to go.
