ACTIVITY: SGLG Meeting

REPORT SUMMARY
I. OBJECTIVES OF THE ACTIVITY:
 To present to local functionaries the SGLG Audit Results and discuss the courses of action
recommended by the Regional Assessment Team;
 Monitor the documents to be submitted for the Seal of Good Local Governance National Audit;
and
 Thresh out issues that the group may have encountered in the presentation of the SGLG Audit
Results from the Regional Assessment Team.
II. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE ACTIVITY:
The Municipality of Aglipay through the Department of the Interior and Local Government headed by
MLGOO Rowena R. Gulgulway, conducted the Seal of Good Local Governance Meeting at Aglipay
Municipal Function Hall last August 22, 2022.

The SGLG Award, which is institutionalized with the enactment of Republic Act No. 11292 or the SGLG
Act, is an incentive, honor and recognition-based program which aims to “boost the LGUs’ drive to
constantly progress and/or sustain their notable performance across various governance areas.”

The meeting was participated in by the Mayor of Aglipay, Hon. Jerry T. Agsalda, Heads of Offices and
other LGU functionaries. The activity commenced with an opening preliminary facilitated by the SFW
Apprentices, LGOO II Keith Clarence R. Bunagan, LGOO II Lizeth B. Yago and the Emcee, LGOO II Jun Eva
D. Paguigan.

The discussion on SGLG Results was spearheaded by MLGOO Rowena R. Gulgulway. She presented the
assessment result of the LGU’s performance in the areas of Financial Administration, Social Protection,
Disaster Preparedness, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Peace and Order, and Environmental
Management. Moreover, MLGOO Rowena R. Gulgulway reminded the group about the incoming SGLG
National Validation hence the need for documentary review and interview; quality check and calibration,

An open forum was conducted to thresh out issues and concerns. The meeting concluded with the
message of Hon. Jerry T. Agsalda about the commitment of all heads of department to constantly perform
their respective roles and submit necessary documents for the SGLG National Validation.
III. OUTPUT/S OF THE ACTIVITY:
 August 30, 2022 – Pre-assessment (SGLG Validation)

- Afternoon: Plenary

 The DILG Aglipay personnel shall be responsible in the document review and quality check.
