KMT can be used to describe the behavior of gas:
1. Gases are composed of a large number of tiny particles (molecules or
atoms) that are in constant random motion. This motion is due to the
kinetic energy of the particles.
2. The volume of the gas particles themselves is negligible compared to
the total volume of the gas. Therefore, the total volume of a gas is mostly
empty space.
3. Gas particles are in constant motion and collide with each other and
with the walls of their container. These collisions are elastic, meaning
that no energy is lost in the collision.
4. The pressure of a gas is the result of the collisions of the gas particles
with the walls of its container. The more frequent and forceful the
collisions, the higher the pressure.
5. The temperature of a gas is directly proportional to the average kinetic
energy of its particles. As the temperature increases, the particles move
faster and their kinetic energy increases.

4. True or False: Collisions between gas particles are inelastic, meaning
that energy is lost in the collision.
5. True or False: The temperature of a gas is proportional to the average
kinetic energy of its particles.
