Lesson idea implementation:

First, I will start my lesson off by introducing the topic of coins and explaining our goals of being able
to identify each coin and identify each coin’s value. I will play a video to learn a little more about
coins. I will then open up a discussion with the whole class and ask them what they think is the use
of coins. I will then have the students play around with the coins in the classroom and sort the coins
out and find their worth. At the end of the lesson, I will play my podcast and have the students plan
out what they want to talk about in their podcast. They will be provided with a laptop in the
classroom and I will be walking around the classroom making sure that they are on tasks and I will
also be helping students that need the help.

Managing student learning:

These are very young kids I would not have them work on the technology alone they will either have
a teacher helping them or work at home with a parent. will offer the ask 3 then me, so they can ask a
peer for help if they have any issues with the technology.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Reflection: Be sure to mention one specific UDL principle you
are focused on in this lesson – Multiple Means of Engagement, Multiple Means of Representation,
or Multiple Means of Action & Expression.
Spotify Podcast supports all kind of learners. Spotify Podcast supports the principle of engagement
by providing incorporate interactive elements, multimedia resources, and group activities to keep
students engaged. It also supports different learning types by giving the students different ways to
engage with their peers and teachers.

Reflection:
I feel good about my lesson, this activity will impact the students learning because it gives them a
chance to be engaged in their learning. I know that the kids will like the idea of creating a podcast of
their own with the help of their parents. I look forward to listening to the students podcast and
giving them feedback.
