ON-SITE ITEMS
Installation of engineering and drainage fills for buildings and landscaped areas. Materials and fi
nishes for the on-site improvements and facilities specified below are included in the scope of w
ork and must be provided and installed by the Contractor at no additional expense to the Owner.
Concrete paths, driveways, ramps, steps, pillars, and various slabs are constructed;
Splash slabs made of concrete, steel, or hard plastic; below-grade constructions such manholes, c
isterns, handholes, and septic vaults
OFF-SITE ITEMS
Off-site improvements shall generally be under the responsibility of the Owner and not included
in The Contract, with the exception of the following which shall be part of the Contractor’s
Work:Concreting of entry slabs. This work shall neatly make connections to the existing roads or
Curbs, if any, and shall incorporate necessary utility ways under such as required. Access
Road drainage system and other existing utility lines must be kept in working condition.
Installation of concrete drainage pipes to neatly receive connections from the storm drainage
System of the site to access road and/or to existing drainage system. Permanent connections to
the local utility lines for electrical, water, drainage, sewer and Telephone lines including
equipment, facilities, materials, fees, and/or work which utility

Companies or authorities may require of the applicant Owner, such as electrical


transformers,Electric poles, service laterals and drops, etc; by their respective Specialty
Contractors.

DIVISION 2. SITE WORK


1.0CLEARING THE SITE
The site shall be leveled in accordance with the drawings and free of debris, roots, and other
undesirable pertains to an appropriate subgrade
2.0 STAKING OUT THE BUILDING LINES
All lines and grades must be marked out, including the building lines. As indicated in the
drawing created prior to the start of any execution. Batter boards and reference marks shall be
erected at such places Where they will not be disturbed during the construction of the
Excavation
3.0 EXCAVATION AND LEVELLING
Excavation shall be to the depths indicated bearings values. Excavation must be done to the
bearing values and depths mentioned. Excavations performed below necessary depths for
foundations and footings Should be filled with concrete and leveled at the bottom.
WhereExcavation for footings should be deeper because it rests on fill. Until the soil’s safe
bearing capability is reached in the appropriate layer.If water is found during the excavation
process, it must Be eliminated by pumping or paling. Being cautious so that the surroundings
Particles of soil are not disturbed or removed
4.0 FILLING AND BACKFILLING
The maximum thickness of the backfill layers is six (6) inches. Thickness, with each Layer being
fully moistened and pressed down by Rolling or tamping. The first two(2) inches of backfill must
be made up of Sand beneath gravel and other authorized materials that have been well-
compactedVia compacting and soaking. Backfilling is only permitted once forms haveBeen
taken out of foundation walls, piers, footings, and hen concrete Is sufficiently tough to withstand
the pressure that filling causes.

Division 3. CONCRETE AND STEEL WORKS


A.All concrete works of the whole structure should conform to the National
Structural Code of the Philippines with regards to quality, mixture, strength, curing, cleanliness
and treatment.
B. Use class A mixture 1:2:4. 3000psi minimum compressive strength
C. Steel rebar: use grade 40 for main bars such as 20 and 16mm. dia. And grade 33
For 12 and 10mm.

CONCRETE WORKS
All concretes shall be carefully mix all concrete until a uniform Aggregates and cement are
distributed, and they should be deposited as Almost as practical in its ultimate configuration,
being used to prevent Division of the mixtures. The water that will be mixed must be pure and
devoid of Dangerous levels of salt, oil, acids, alkalis, and other organic Components
It is necessary to carefully mix all concrete until a uniform Aggregates and cement are

Proportioning of Concrete
Proportion of Concrete Every concrete job shall be completed in compliance with the standard.
Guidelines for both reinforced and ordinary concrete, as approved by the Architect or Engineer
in charge. The type of Cement to be utilized is HOLCIM Portland cement.

CLASS A.: 1:2:4 – for columns, beams, and footings
CLASS B.: 1:2:5:5 – for walks, driveways, hollow blocks Mortar, filler and plastering.
CLASS C.: 1:3:6 – for floor and slabs on fill.
All concrete cement shall be cleared, graded and cleaned of sand and gravel. The cement used in
concrete shall meet all requirements and specification for Portland cement. Portland cement must
be either Republic, Northern, Atlas or an qequivalent.
