4.1 Introductory Activity  Preliminary Activities

- Recall the last topic which is the types of sequence.
4.2 Activity  Work in groups: Divide the class into 3 groups according to their
sitting arrangement, every group has different polynomial
(20 minutes) equation and they will be going to get the quotient of the equation
using both the long and synthetic division.
- Daniela’s total allowance is (3𝑥3− 8𝑥 2 + 3𝑥 + 2) pesos for (x-
1) school days. How much is her daily allowance?
- If one ream of bond paper costs (3x-4) pesos, how many reams
can you buy for (6𝑥 4 − 17𝑥 3 + 24𝑥 2 − 34𝑥 + 24) pesos?
- If a car is moving at a constant rate travel (2𝑥 3 − 𝑥 2 − 4𝑥 + 3)
𝑘𝑚 in (2𝑥 + 1) hours, what is the rate of the car in km per
hour?
