Journal 12 Week of 03/25

On Monday of this week, I was supposed to have two interviews but did have one cancel

on us last minute. I was still able to conduct my morning interview, and this was with a food

pantry that is very active within our community. Learning more about each individual institution

has truly been eye-opening and I am excited to soon begin the data analysis of what I am

collecting. On Monday afternoon, my supervisor and I traveled to two of the facilities that have

either stopped responding to our contacts attempt or never did. By going in person, we were able

to show our true interest in getting the stakeholders involved. We were wanting to go to three

more but ran under a time-crunch as after we tracked one of our stakeholders down and got a

great lead on a second.

On Tuesday I began calling many of my stakeholders to either follow up with

documentation requests or to confirm their times for their survey completion. On Tuesday I also

conducted an interview with one of our senior living facilities. On Wednesday I conducted a

survey with one of the people that we had tracked down earlier on Monday. This interviewee had

been very difficult to track down but upon meeting with him in person, my supervisor and I were

able to make that connection that allowed us to have a great interview. I also confirmed my

scheduled times for tomorrow and spoke to those who have completed their interviews to follow

up for the requested documentation as well as to see if they have any questions.

On Thursday I conducted three interviews with various facilities around Baldwin County.

These surveys went extremely well and there are only a few more to go. I am right now just

trying to finish the rest of my interviews for those who either have had to reschedule or for those

who still have yet to respond to our contact attempts. Overall, the ones who are responding have

been very helpful and have provided me with detailed responses that will be useful when it
comes to the next step of this project. I am excited as in the next few weeks my project will

really begin to take shape as we begin data analysis. Early next week I have a meeting with my

supervisor to discuss my project and presentation.
