The Gain Linearity test determines that the detector has a linear response within the detector 's gain range. The
sample set injects one concentration from the same vial at five different gain settings of 1, 2, 5, 10, and 20. There
are two custom fields used to determine the gain linearity : Area_Gain (which is area/amount), and Height _Gain
(which is height /amount). The test passes if the % RSD of these 2 fields is < or = 4.0.
