 INTRODUCTION
Filipino subject is an integral part of the school curriculum in the Philippines.
This is where the students would learn all about the Filipino language- good
grammar, correct sentence formation, correct pronunciation, vocabulary words and
many more. It also helps us to have a better understanding of not just our very own
language but our own culture as well which is then inculcated to the minds of the
students, giving them the essence of what being a true Filipino is.

The overall purpose of the K to 12 is to cultivate holistic Filipino students with

useful literacy

In connection, the goals of teaching Filipino is to refine the communication

skills, reflective and critical thinking, and literary appreciation of the students through
reading materials and technology into having national identity, cultural literacy, and
continuous learning to cope the rapid changes occurring in the world.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND
ACTIVITIES
 Formed the Editorial Staff of Tibag Elementary School’s Official Publication
in Filipino, named “SANDIGAN”.
 Created the Facebook page of SANDIGAN- Opisyal na Digital na
Publikasyon ng Paaralang Elementarya ng Tibag.
 Published the SANDIGAN School Publication in digital format.
 Conducted and consolidated the results of the schoolwide pretest and
posttest Filipino Oral Reading Inventory.
 Consolidated the results of the Quarterly Consolidation of Grades in
Filipino.
