Subject: URGENT: Change in Tablet POS Cost

Hi Deanna,

Hope all is well.

Our restaurant consultant—Seydou alerted me of a pricing update our tablet vendors have
implemented. During the initial tablet rollout phase, the proposed pricing was a one-time fee of
$8,000 ($200 per tablet; 40 tablets in total). The vendor has updated their pricing model to be
subscription based making the monthly cost $300 ($3,600 yearly cost). This cost has the
technical support included while the $8,000 fee does not. However, the $3,600 is a yearly
recurring fee. My concern is that this will put us over budget in the long run and will cause
issues with the company OKR of keeping operating expenses below 65% and profit margins
above 8%.

Please review the attached pricing breakdown and advise on how we should proceed with the
contract negotiations.
