Subject: Important Update Regarding New Tablet Procurement Process

Hello Deanna,

I hope you are doing well.

I have received information that Tablets pricing structure has changed and therefore, I
would like to discuss with you about the upcoming project planning.
Previously, tablets we have been supplied from our vendors had pre-installed software
which was a big part of cost-saving in our project planning so far. But they’re no longer
offering that option.

Our vendor has decided that Tablets is a subscription-based service, which means software
that was pre-installed, and accounts are now only available for monthly subscribed users
and they have decided to not install the software unless we sign a yearly deal for a specific
number of purchases for the tablets.

The new pricing structure means that instead of the one-time payment of $80,000 for the
400 tablets, we now pay a yearly subscription of $46,000 for all 400 tablets.
This reduces the amount budgeted for the project and will have a positive impact on our
OKRs.
In short, the yearly subscription seemingly costs higher than one-time payment but
considering updates, new parts and new products they will launch yearly and paying for new
tablets each time, this will be a significantly better option in the long run.

Please discuss this matter with Omar and let’s have a video call together and settle this
decision as a team.

Best regards,

Peta
