Title of the Activity: OVERVIEW: DEPED ORDER NO. 31, s2020

INTRODUCTION:
To provide guidance on the assessment of student learning and on the grading scheme
to be adopted this school year, the Department of Education issued DepEd Order No. 31,s2020
which is all about the interim guidelines for assessment and grading in light of the Basic
Education Learning Continuity Plan.

OBJECTIVES:
a) To give an overview about DepEd Order No. 31, s2020; and
b) To provide guidance on the assessment of student learning and on the grading
scheme to be adopted this school year.

HIGHLIGHTS:
The session started with the singing of National Anthem and opening prayer. Each
department sang a Christmas song for the roll call. The Assistant Principal gave inspiring
message and quotes to motivate us in the first day of the INSET. The principal, which is also the
speaker, gave an opening speech and gave appreciation to the TV Broadcasters, Editors,
Scriptwriters and Animator. The purpose of the INSET is to give an overview about DepEd
Order No. 31, s2020. The speaker started the presentation, and the participants attentively
listened in the discussion. The overview was about the desired outcomes of this policy, Roles
and responsibilities of teachers and parents, Planning of Assessment, Considerations in
designing Performance Tasks, Conducting Assessment Remotely, Feedback and Remediation
and the New Grading System.

Summative Assessment via google form was conducted after the session.

RESULTS:

After the overview, the teachers were informed on how to give proper assessment
remotely, how to provide feedback and what to do on those students who need remedial. The
teachers also had the knowledge on the new grading system.
