● Pricing Strategy
Edit message
Sweet Tooth Cookies, a popular snack choice among students
and employees at DWCC, has chosen to adopt a Cost Plus
Pricing strategy for their delicious, homemade cookies. This
pricing strategy involves calculating the total cost of producing
each cookie, including ingredients, labor, overhead costs, and
other expenses associated with the production process. Once the
total cost per cookie is determined, a markup percentage is added
to arrive at the final selling price. The markup not only covers
unforeseen costs but also ensures a reasonable profit margin for
the student sellers. This strategy provides a straightforward way
to cover costs and ensure profitability. It also supports
transparency, as the price directly reflects the cost of production
plus a fair profit margin. As a result, students can feel confident
that they are paying a fair price for their favorite Sweet Tooth
Cookies. This approach to pricing aligns with the brand's
commitment to affordability and value, making their cookies an
even more attractive option for budget-conscious students at
DWCC.

Formulas:
Selling Price =Total Production cost per unit + Mark-up price
Mark-up price =Total Production cost per unit x Mark-up
Total Cost = P501.00
Unit Produced = 120pcs
Mark-up Price = 50%

Production cost per unit = P501.00/120

= 4.18

Mark-up Price = 4.18 x 50%

= 2.9

Selling Price = 4.18 + 2.9

= 7.8 or 7
