Jio’s Homework

One afternoon, Jio and his mother had a conversation. Jio
asked his mother to help him do his homework. His mother

C. Presenting 1. Cover protects the pages of the book. The book has the front
examples/instances of the and the back cover.

2. The title page shows the title of the book, name of the author,
and the illustrator. The author is the person who wrote the story
while the illustrator is the one who drew the pictures about the
story. This is found in the first page of the book.

3. Copyright page tells the date the book was printed and the
publisher of the book. The publisher is the company that
printed and issued the book. The copyright page is commonly
found on the back of the book’s title page.

4. Table of contents lists the chapters, lesson title, and page


numbers. It helps the reader to easily locate the pages of the
contents or stories of a book. This is found in the front matter
section of the book.

5. Body is where the stories, lessons, and activities can be read.


This is the most important part of the book.

6. Glossary is a mini dictionary found at the rear page or back


matter section of the book. It shows list of words that are
arranged alphabetically with their meanings. Words are listed in
the order of the letters of the alphabet: ancestor, bubbly, duty,
family, park, play.
