RE: END OF TERM II CIRCULAR 2023.

Greetings: On behalf of samara junior school, I extend warmly greetings to the parents for the
massive cooperation, support effort portrayed this term despite the hardships encountered. May
the name of the almighty God be glorified for enabling us complete this term successfully.

Holiday and opening of term III. This term has ended today 18th August 2023.This term had 14
weeks. The holiday will run for 3 weeks effective 19th August 2023. Term II will commence on 11th
September 2023. All day scholars will report on this day at 7:00am and hostellers will report on 9th
of September 2023.

Holiday teaching Programe: We shall have the holiday teaching from P.3-P.7. All parents are
advised to send their children to school to enhance learners reading and writing skills. The holiday
will run from 21st August 2023 to 1st of September 2023 and the fees will be as follows;

Academics: All lessons have been taught by the teachers as timetabled. The school managed to
access the midterm examinations for all the pupils and the results were issued out on the
Visitation day (VD) which took place on 7th July 2023. The end of term II examination was also
done and today 18th August 2023, each child has been issued a report card and a circular copy.
The P.7 candidates do weekly tests and results displayed on the school notes board.

Mock Examinations. The P.7 candidates sat for the mock exams on 2 and 3 August 2023 at

Buyende Primary School. The results will be issued out on 19 August 2023.

PTA Executive meeting. The PTA executive meeting took place on 26 July 2023. The meeting
aimed at water availability improvement in the school, Top class graduation next term, P.7 class
among others.

General Parents Meeting. We had the general parents meeting on 28 July 2023 and we resolved
as follows;

 The Parents unanimously agreed to have a borehole at school. Each child will contribute
Twelve thousand five hundred shillings (shs.12,500) only in a period of term II and term III
2023.

 Top class graduants in term III and P.7 candidates will pay shs.30,000 each for the mega
event of the year titled “Commissioning of top class and P.7 candidates prayer day”.

  Other classes will contribute shs.3,000 each child to facilitate and support the function.

 Development Fee of twenty thousand shillings (shs.20,000) will be paid once for the new
comers starting term III 2023. Existing pupils are NOT affected with this!

 Parents will bring maize for two terms. Eg 10Kg of maize for two terms.

Discipline: In this term pupils showed maximum discipline apart from a few who presented bad
behaviors. The PTA executive resolved one case of an undisciplined child. However, we urge the
parents to counsel their children during the holiday in order to have holistic citizens for the
posterity.

School Development: The school has constructed hostels for both girls & boys and a primary
seven permanent classroom. We therefore have lessons at night and at dawn. We installed a big
solar system. We have purchased a book shelf and also cemented the interior of the office of the
school.

School Study Tour. We took a total of 58 pupils to Jinja Show ground the tour on 14th of July 2023.
We returned back safely and therefore applaud the almighty God for his omnipresence.

Health: The health of the pupils and the teachers has been generally good. We never registered
any death of pupil(s), Parent(s) or teacher(s). We thank the almighty God for keeping us healthy.

School requirements: The school requirements will be as follows;

1 packet of crayons, 8 exercise books, 6 pencils- for Lower classes, 5kg of maize, hard broom and
floor brush for those in hostels. Day scholars who feed at school bring 15kg of maize, 5kg of
beans and a top-up of 10,000= facilitation fee on top the school fees.

NOTE. The money of the mug, plate and toilet papers have been put on the school fees starting
term III 2023. Therefore, parents will not bring Mug, plate and Toilet papers.

Boarding Section: The school accommodates pupils in the boarding section from Baby class to
Primary Seven (P.7). We have installed solar systems to enable learning for those in hostel at night.
The hostel fee is Shs. 260,000 inclusive of maize and beans OR shs.160,000 with 50kg of maize
and 10kg of beans.

Conclusion. The school is dedicated to serving all the parents as per our mission, so best wishes
