NARRATIVE REPORT
MISSION, VISSION AND CORE VALUES OF DEPED

The Department of Education`s Mission, Vision and Core Values statements

provide the department with an essential overview of where they want to go and what
they want to be. In addition, to realize the department`s mission and vision, a school
must model the beliefs, values and collective commitments while demonstrating
enthusiasms for what will come next. Perhaps, most important, the vision, mission
and core values establish clear expectations and standards for the teacher, student,
community and the nation.
Tarusan Elementary School initiated School Learning Action Cell with Mam
Analyn L. Cayat as the LAC Facilitator on September 16, 2022. The program started
with an opening program led by the grade 3 teachers. After a while, the topic about
the Department of Education Mission, Vision and Core Values statements were
discussed by the Principal. She tackled and let anyone recite the mission and vision
statement and how each teacher understands and reflect with the statements and
how they apply that in classroom setting. She further discussed about the Roles
Functions and Responsibilities of Teacher in order to apply the said statements in
classroom setting and even in the community. Moreover, she gave a foreword that
we should “Explore beyond our limits”. She explained comprehensively the Vision,
Mission, and core values of DepEd and the mandates which served as the basis for
the said statements. She ended her session by giving a task to the participants to
write a short reflection and realization on the Vision, Mission and Core values of
DepEd.

making presentation of lessons. These are just some of the many ways ICT is being
utilized in education.

With the fats pace of modern technology, teachers must be equipped and
oriented with the knowledge and skills to cope up with the need of the schools and
students. Last December 9, 2022, Tarusan Elementary School teachers participated
in the School Learning Action Cell facilitated by the ICT Coordinator and Master
Teacher, Ma`am Nurbaria A. Jaalam about the integration of ICT in classroom
setting.
