 Problem occurred :
1. Happen of mudslide cause three construction workers died.

 Causes :
1. Due to large amount of water caused the erosion of soil on the runway
construction.
2. The subcontractor failure to take necessary safety measure.

 Measure :
1. The contractor must take sufficient safety measure during construction
and must look after every action taken by his worker.

 Problem occurred :
1. 150 tones drilling rig collapse into a hole at construction site of runway

 Causes :
1. Due to the misconducting of the site workers.
2. Failure of worker to take the responsible to check the condition of the drilling
rig.
3. It caused the tracks of the rig kind of straddle each side. It drills straight down
and the entire rig backs up and goes to the next one.

 Measure :
1. The contractor must remind his worker to do maintenance to the machinery
using during construction to ensure the performance of the machinery
maintained at good level.

1. A worker struck in the neck by the gas powered saw’s blade and was
pronounced dead when he was sawing through a water main in a trench .

 Causes :
1. The incident was caused by the new worker which is unfamiliar in using gas
powered saw.
2. Lack of training is also a fatal factor of causing the accident.

 Measure :
1. The contractor should give sufficient training to new workers before asking
them to do construction work.
2. The contractor also need frequently call attention to his worker to take safety
measure during construction.

 The fencing is to prevent public access and provide a secure

site.
 Sections of the temporary fence will contain additional
screening to intercept any potential windborne sand and soil
particles.

 Formwork

 Formwork is used to fixed the shaped of the runway structure.

 The is built around the reinforcement of the runway, and then the
wet concrete is poured into the formwork.
 The formwork of runway structure is to be removed after
hardening of the concrete placed
