EXPLANATION

CONCLUSION
• This is a simple but effective code lock
circuit that has an automatic reset facility.
The circuit is made around the FOUR  flip-
flop IC,FOUR ICs are used here. Push
button switches are used for entering the
code number. One side of all the push
INTRODUCTIO button switches are connected to +12V
DC. The remaining end of push buttons is
N connected to clock input pins of the filp-
flops. The remaining end of other push
button switches are shorted and
connected to the set pin of the filp-flops
• After this all the outputs of flipflops are
connected to one nand which is given to
mono stable multivibrator

DIAGRAM
JK FLIPFLOP
Then to overcome these two fundamental design
problems with the SR flip-flop design, the JK flip
Flop was developed.
This simple JK flip Flop is the most widely used of all
the flip-flop designs and is considered to be a
universal flip-flop circuit. The two inputs labelled “J”
and “K” are not shortened abbreviated letters of
other words, such as “S” for Set and “R” for Reset,
but are themselves autonomous letters chosen by its
inventor Jack Kilby to distinguish the flip-flop design
from other types.
The sequential operation of the JK flip flop is exactly
the same as for the previous SR flip-flop with the
same “Set” and “Reset” inputs. The difference this
time is that the “JK flip flop” has no invalid or
forbidden input states of the SR Latch even
when S and R are both at logic “1”.
Truth Table and Circuit Diagram
• Multivibrators produce an output wave shape
resembling that of a symmetrical or asymmetrical
square wave and as such are the most commonly
used of all the square wave generators.
Multivibrators belong to a family of oscillators
commonly called “Relaxation Oscillators“.
• Generally speaking, discrete multivibrators consist

Monostable
of a two transistor cross coupled switching circuit
designed so that one or more of its outputs are
fed back as an input to the other transistor with a
Multivibrato resistor and capacitor ( RC ) network connected
across them to produce the feedback tank circuit.

r • Multivibrators have two different electrical states,

an output “HIGH” state and an output “LOW”
state giving them either a stable or quasi-stable
state depending upon the type of multivibrator.
One such type of a two state pulse generator
configuration are called Monostable
Multivibrators.
Working

• As seen in circuit diagram we will connect all the 4 Jk flipflops are connected in series  for
this we will provide J=1 and K=0 first JK output is connected to  Second and the sequence
will as follows now all the outputs of JK flipflops will connected to  NAND Gate , we will set
one code when we press that code at the keys then the clock pulse  will activate for the
Some JK flipflops and clock pulse will not activate for some flipflops  , as a result some
flipflops produce output as HIGH and few will produce output as low we will design A
NAND logic to activate for required combination of outputs  of JK flipflops
• After that Based On the NAND gate the multivibrator will ON and LED will glow
• This Project is used for locking Purpose, We can name this as Digital Lock
• For the Required Code we will On the Circuit There are many applications for this we can
use this for Lockers, Home locking System etc
