DESIGN CRITERIA ADOPTED
The total project stretch is running through Plan, Rolling & Mountainous terrain.
Hill road is defined as the one which passes through a terrain with a cross slope of
25% or more.

IRC:SP:73-2018, IRC:SP:48-1998 and IRC:SP:84-2014 have merged the


Mountainous and Steep Terrain having Cross Slope more than 25%.
DESIGN CRITERIA ADOPTED
• The various Design Standards being followed in the India for the design of Hill Road
are:
