MATHEMATICS PRAYER

Dear God,
May we through your blessings, add purity to the
world, subtract evil from our lives, multiply the
good news of your son and divide your gifts and
share them with others. Amen.

Lesson 2 – Angle Pairs
Formed by Intersecting
and Perpendicular Lines
Objectives:
Derive relationships of geometric figures using measurements
and by inductive reasoning: supplementary angles,
complementary angles, congruent angles, vertical angles,
adjacent angles, linear pairs, perpendicular lines, and parallel
lines.
DEFINING MY PARTS
Directions: Search and define the following terms for 3 minutes
only. 1. Perpendicular Lines
2. Intersecting Lines
3. Adjacent Angles
4. Nonadjacent Angles
5. Vertical Angles
6. Angles in Linear Pair
7. Complementary Angles
8. Supplementary Angles
9. Congruent Angles
Enrichment Activity
DEFINITION OF TERMS
1. Perpendicular Lines- these lines always intersect at right angles.
2. Intersecting Lines- are lines that cross at some point.
3. Adjacent Angles - two angles share a common vertex, but not a common side
4. Nonadjacent Angles - two angles that don’t have a common vertex and a common side.
5. Vertical Angles - angles opposite each other when two lines cross
6. Angles in Linear Pair- if the angles are adjacent to each other forming straight line
7. Complementary Angles - Two angles are complementary when their measures add to 90°
8. Supplementary Angles- Two angles are supplementary when their measures add to 180°
9. Congruent Angles- angles with exactly the same measure
