Sentences

Four (4) Kinds of Sentences
1. Declarative sentence states an information or
statement about something. It begins with a capital
letter and ends with a period (.).
Example: The soldiers fought for our country.
2. Interrogative sentence is called an asking sentence.
It asks information or statement about something. It
begins with a capital letter and ends with a question
mark (?).
Example: When is your birthday?
3. Imperative sentence asks someone to do
something. It begins with a capital letter and ends with
a period (.).
Example: Kindly remove your shoes before entering
the room.

4. Exclamatory sentence expresses strong feelings. It


begins with a capital letter and ends with an
exclamation mark (!).
Example: Mother! The child has a fever.
Read carefully and identify the kind of sentence in use. Choose
