What is procedure text ?

Procedure text is a text that is designed to describe how


something is achieved through a sequence of actions or
step.
The purpose of a procedure text type is to explain how
something can be done such as directions, recipes,
instruction manual, and itineraries

2. Material or ingredient, tools or equipment
3. Steps
Characteristics of procedure text
1. Using simple Present tense
2. using imperative sentence for instance: cut, don’t, stir
3. Using action verbs for instance : don’t, put, turn, cut, make, glue,
take, boil dll
4. Adverbial for instance: for thirty minutes, the thick is 2 cm
5. Using conectives For example: first, second, third, next, finally, then,
add, while dsb.
• 1. How to Make a Pancake

Ingredients:
• 3-4 spoonful of flour
• 2 eggs
• 250 ml of milk
• 1 stick of butter
• Materials:
• Mixing bowl
• 2 table spoons
• 2 cups
• 1 small pan
• Vrbs

Steps:
1. First, put the flour in the bowl
2. Then, put 250 ml of milk in the bowl
3. Break the 2 eggs into the bowl. Mix it with a spoon
4. Heat up the pan and put the butter. Then put the mix in the pan
5. Let the pancake mix cook about 5 minutes. Flip pancake over when the top is brown
