WHAT IS PROCEDURE TEXT

• a procedure is a way of doing something, especially the usual


or correct way. Procedure Text is text that explain how
something works or how to use instruction / operation
manuals.

STRUCTURE OF A PROCEDURAL TEXT

• procedural texts order and sequence. Diagrams, flowcharts and


timelines can be incorporated to better organize information.
Titles indicate the goal or aim of your procedure. Subheadings
such as materials, what to do next, warnings indicate the
stages of the procedure
GENERIC STURCTURE

• Goal > contains information about the destination in the


making or operation of something.
• Materials > There are three types of procedural text that does
not use the materials, that are: Procedural text that identifies
how to perform the instruction manual. For example: How to
use the video game, the computer, etc
• StepsOn the steps > contains about steps orsequences that
must be done so that thegoals outlined in the Goal can be
achieved.Steps or sequences of the sequence must bethe first

• There are some traits of language among which are:
