We are working hard on creating equations to match the story problems and using a box or symbol to represent the unknown. Science: We will continue to work on a unit on the sun, moon, and stars.

Common Core Tip of the Week Write an equation for your child with a box representing an unknown in an equation. They should use the equation to create a story problem. Ex: + 18 = 52. The story problem to match could say Jan had some boxes of cookies. She bought 18 more and now has 52. How many boxes did she have before buying more?
