House is not just a simple structure for human life. It can be called an organism which gives various influences to human physiology and
psychology. Human minds or characters are greatly influenced by their residences and environments. And therefore, pleasant
residences give great influences to human mental life and the whole society.
Accordingly in 21 century, there is a trend that numerous types of residences are born which have various functions. Recently, blue
economy house which is a future residence becomes a big topic. Blue economy house is a sustainable low - energy - consuming house
which transcends simple nature conservation level but up to a regeneration level.
101 House introduces 101 works of houses which are classified into 5 themes (Country House, Urban House, Blue Economy House,

Fort Diemerdam is part of the Stelling of Amsterdam. This historical defence line was recently
put on the UNESCO world heritage list. This ignited a re - development plan for Fort Diemerdam
to make it accessible to visitors, tourists and those interested. The existing bunkers and fortress
guardian house have been restored. The original plan of slopes and strongholds is restored and a
nature conservation program has started. Emma architects has designed a new pavilion in which
and from which puur produkties revives the fortress again with events, tours and catering.

Paviljoen Puur is located on the exact site of a former soldiers shelter. The footprint of this shelter
was taken as the basis for the pavilion. Around its base a wooden wall curves up to protect the site
and encompass the program. The design is inspired by the undulating forms of the slopes and the
surrounding landscape. Openings in the sloping wall give views of the gun bays, a terrace and the
direction of the island Pampus, the next fortress of defence line.

An outside path in height, through the mineral patio, leads to a mysterious outdoor belvedere, otherwise
unreachable, facing the garden and beyond the profile of the Renaissance city walls. This special meditative
space is designed for individual isolation and contemplation. Suspended just opposite to the transparent
main front and facing the rising sun, the architectural body surrounds the courtyard, floating on air,

MedForCE in Munster
Henn Architekten Wins Competition To Design MedForCE in Munster. It comprises two interlocking, annular
complexes, each surrounding an interior courtyard accessible from a forecourt. This arrangement provides a
clear division between the research areas in the northern part and the Centre for medical Microbiology and
Hygiene in the southern part of the building. In the middle, the intersection creates the shared foyer which
also functions as a communicative hub for both parts.

The eyes do not stay on the containers that are stacked uniformly in the same in open storage yards of a port or
factory. However, the containers, which are positioned as a city building as moving away from its original usage,
are unfamiliar and become an objet that stimulates curiosity. It is possible to create an attractive space through
arranging the containers of a rectangular shape as though playing with the pieces of Lego using the containers. In
addition, the modularized containers may be expanded and re-assembled since they can be divided and
assembled depending on the needs. It shortens the construction period since the basic modules are produced in
advance. And it is easy to apply to the structures that are combining with other buildings or being extended, and
also assembling, dismantling and processing are simple. It is possible to express the unique features by printing by
the form of various mass due to combination and putting on a strong color. Moreover, it is possible to reduce the
generation of construction waste since the containers can be recycled. For these reasons, residential buildings and
container houses are already getting a lot of attentions in overseas.
In this article, we aim to introduce about the container building.

Located in the central region of china, Wuhan, the 461 tower is a 15 storey office building functions as the
companys new Research and Development building. Through Research of office towers typologies, we found that
it is possible to the perimeter of a quadrat fan profile as the plan of the tower; this would take advantage of the
view, lighting, ventilation and layout of internal functions.
As the floor moves up vertically, the floors undergoes two simple transformations namely scaling and rotation on
the centroid of the building. Using criteria base programming, the building is ensured of its minimum requirement
for office width and optimum structural layout. The operations on the geometry are parametrically controlled and
the design went through vigorous rounds of modification to arrive at the final geometry. This geometry also allows
for a balcony zone for each office level.
Meta Design(Hong Kong) is invited as a facade design consultant; the design intension for the facade is taken to
be a high priority for the expression of the building. Using prefabricated aluminum panel the designers take into
consideration of various way of using density and location of holes to express a certain facade image.

This project was one that I developed independently, from the decision on the
location itself through to planning. The specifications of the building were also
selected with total life cycle costs in mind.
While selecting a finish that would be maintenance - free to the greatest
degree possible, I made the bold decision to use an exterior insulation and
finishing system(which is coated on to the exterior wall) in order to retouch the
exterior easily at predetermined periods during the building life - cycle as a
means of keeping these rental units looking fresh and appealing.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Centre for Drug Research and
Development is located at the corner of Wesbrook Mall and Agronomy Road,
in the heart of UBCs campus. The site consists of a 20,240 square metre
parcel of land an important university entry point.
The Giraffe childcare center is located in the C1 block of the Seguin Rives de
Seine district in Boulogne - Billancourt, a suburban area of Paris.
The facades of the building are made out of white corrugated iron that
provides a minimal background to the wild animal sculptures. The idea is to
animate the urban landscape by using a child's imagination. The wild animals
appropriate the space ; a giraffe appears to be peacefully eating the leaves of
the trees from the neighbouring park, a polar bear tries to clamber up the
steps, while a family of ladybirds climbs the facade in an attempt to reach the
interior patio.

This project begins with restoration of place. Obscuring the boundary between

BIG / Phoenix Observation Tower
BIG is a Copenhagen based group of architects, designers and thinkers operating within the fields of architecture, urbanism,
research and development. BIG has created a reputation for completing buildings that are as programmatically and
technically innovative as they are cost and resource conscious. In our architectural production we demonstrate a high
sensitivity to the particular demands of site context and programme.
BIG's completed projects include The Mountain(2008), the World Architecture Festival Housing Award winner, Helsingr
Psychiatric Hospital(2006), the Maritime Youth House(2004) and Copenhagen's Harbor Bath(2003), an urban space that
transformed the area of Islands Brygge from a run down harbourfront to the recreational and social centre of the city. BIG's
completed projects in 2010 include the Danish Pavilion at the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai and the 8 House, a 61,000m2 mixed - used project including 500 residential
units overlooking the reserve landscape of Kalvebod Commons in restaden.
Current buildings under construction include the Danish Maritime Museum in Helsingr, Astana National Library in Kazakhstan, a new Educational Centre on the
Faeroe Islands and Shenzhen Energy Mansion in China.
