Secuencia Didáctica
Monday: Reading
1. Pre: In pair, ask students to look at the unit title and brainstorm what the question could
refer to. Ask the students to make a list of their answers to question 1 and then compare
in pairs,discus question 2 in SB p. 4.
2. While: read the tips of exam skill and then ask students to complete the exercise 2.
Remind them that we often use present tenses to describe a scene or a photo. Then go to
exercise 3, for the true answer they have to underline the evidence.
3. Post: Reproduce track 1.01 and ask students to underline all the words and phrases
connected to modern technology, then answer exercise 4, and solve 5 all together.
Tuesday 1st hour: Reading workbook
1. Pre: Choose some students to read the article in workbook p. 5. Ask students to underline
the vocabulary related to technology.
2. While: Solve exercise 2 all together, and then let the students solve exercise 1 and 3,
individually.
3. Post: On the board write the next jumbled sentences and ask students to reorder and
answer them:
TV / have/ a / Do /bedroom /?/you/in/your
Hours/day/spend/many/a/do/ online/you/spend/How/?
Thinking/Are/your/? Reducing/ time/you/about/screen.
Tuesday 2nd hour: Grammar in context.
1. Pre: Start by elicting what tense each sentence is in (pc, ps) Then ask students to complete
the task. Refer them to the remember box if they aren’t sure.
2. While: ask students to define microblogging in question 3 (short updates), before they
complete the exercise 1 in SB p. 6, then complete exercise 2 and revise some short forms,
check answers in open class.
3. Post: give each student the say it right worksheet and then reproduce the tracks to solve
the exercises, ask students to paste it into their notebooks.
Wednesday: Vocabulary

1. Pre: Go to the WB in p. 6 and solve exercise 1 and 2 with all the class, and make emphasis
in the use of present simple and continuous. Have students to complete the sentences of
exercise 3 in the same page with thte correct form of the verbs.
2. While: In SB p. 7, solve the exercise 1 and 2 about adjectives -able/-ible. Then comeback
to WB p.6 and have students to solve exercise 1 about vocabulary.
3. Post: In their notebooks ask the students to record negative adjectives for the words in SB
. Point out that for some words, there won’t be a negative form (eg. Inaccessible,
inadvisable, etc. cfr TB p. 35)
Thursday 1st hour: Vocabulary 2
1. Pre: In SB p. 7 Elict from students what collocations are (a group of two or more words
that usually go together an just sound right to native English speakers). Ask students to
solve exercise 3 and then explain the meaning of each sentences,
2. While: ask students to complete the exercise 5 and 6 in the same page in pair, and then
check the answer individually.
3. Post: In pairs have the students to solve exercise 2 and 3 in WB p. 7, and then check the
results all together.
Thursday 2nd hour: Technology play
1. Pre: Make spelling using the vocabulary related with technology (e.g. fix, gadget, online,
switch off, etc.)
2. While: Encourage students to make a poster related to technology in their notebook, they
have to select a specific gadget to point the advantages of it.
3. Post: ask 1 student per line to pass in front of the class to talk about their poster to the
class.
Friday: Listening.
1. Pre: In pairs, students ask and answer the questions from exercise 1, listening SB p. 8.
Play track 1.05 for the students and complete exercise 2.
2. While: Focus in the exam tips, and then reproduce track 1.06 to answer exercise 4 in the
same page. Then discuss the questions in the “me” section.
3. Post: Go to WB in p.8 and play track 1 and 2, to solve exercise 1 and 2 and then check
the results in open class.
