identify the differences of the pictures.
So, I will group you into four. Row 1
would be the group 1, Row 2 would be the
group 2, Row 3 would be the group 3and
Row 4 would be the group 4.

Each group will give 1 difference of the

pictures given.

E. Lesson proper

This morning class, we are going to

discuss about Repeating Patterns.
Would you mine to read the definition of
Repeating Patterns, Row 1 and Row 2?
Repeating Patterns it is a type of pattern in
which elements/objects repeat in a simple
manner.
Thank you!

Yes Row 3 and Row 4, kindly repeat

what they have read?
Repeating Patterns it is a type of pattern in
which elements/objects repeat in a simple
manner.

Thank you!
When we say Repeating Patterns it is a
type of pattern in which elements repeat in a
simple manner or it is a sequences of objects
that repeat constantly and regularly. We can
determine the missing term by looking at the
regularity of the objects repeated.

For example:
I have here another set of pictures.

What do you think the pictures should be

put on the first line?
Sir!
Yes, Angel?
The missing picture on the first line is
Drum.

How about in this set of pictures.

What do you think is the missing

pictures on the first line?
Sir!
Yes, Jessmin?
The first missing picture is Short.

Do you understand our topic for today?

Yes, Sir!

F. Reinforcing Activity

Let’s have an activity. We will do it by

group again. Following the same group. I
will give each group a pattern and an
envelope. Inside in each envelope But this timeI’ll be giving you a group
contains cut-outs. Use the cut-outs to flag wherein I will put points in this flag if
complete the pattern. If you’re done with you will answer my question.
your work, paste your pattern on the I have stars here and these star is
board. equivalent to one point.I will give you 1
Did you understand class? minute solve. If 1 minute was done. If I
say boardsup.Raise your boards,okay?
(The teacher will give the pattern and the
envelope to each group)

Yes, Sir!
(After the activity the learners will paste their
work

( The learners do the activity)

Okay, let me check your work.

(The teacher check their work)

All of you got the correct pattern.

G. Application

At this moment class, We are going to

have another activity. I’m going to show you
a pattern or a set of figures. All you have to
do, you are going to identify the missing
figures. Look on the jumbled cut -outs to find
the missing objects. After that, you are going
to paste the right cut outs of object on the
line to complete the pattern.

Is it clear class?
Yes, Sir!

(Jumbled cut-outs)

1. 1.

2. 2.

3. 3.

4. 4.

(The Pupils do the activity)

Did you understand our lesson class?

Yes, Sir!
If that so may I ask you some questions.
H. Generalization

What is Repeating Patterns, again?

Sir!
Yes, Samantha?
Repeating Patterns it is a type of pattern in
which elements/objects repeat in a simple
manner.
Very good!
Everybody! What is Repeating Patterns?
Repeating Patterns it is a type of pattern in

Excellent!
Do you really understand our topic for
today?
Yes, Sir!
Is there any question regarding our topic
for today?
None, Sir!

IV. Evaluation:

Let us see if you understand our topic for

today.
I have here worksheet. You are going to
identify the missing figures in a given items.
Encircle the missing pictures from the right
side to complete the pattern.

Mathematics 2
Worksheet

Name: Date:

Direction: Look at the given pattern. Circle the

missing pictures from the right side to complete
the pattern
(The teacher distribute the worksheet)
(The Pupils answer the worksheet)
Are you done class?
Yes, Sir!
Okay, past your papers forward. (The Pupils past their papers)

V. Assignment:

For your assignment, answer the following

activities in your Book Easy Mathematics for
children 2, page 291-293.

That’s all for today.
