24 II. Minutes of the Previous Meeting

25 A. Reading of the Previous Minutes
26 The minutes of the previous faculty meeting was read by Ms.
27 Mary Joy A. Ermac
28 B. Correction of the Previous Minutes
29 There were corrections presented with the previous minutes
30 which were the following:
31 First, in I. Call to Order part, Mrs. Chrisna Jane N. Arcelo added
32 the words “the meeting” so, instead of having it in the sentence
33 “Ms. Honey Jane Pilapil Called to order at 4:16 PM with an
34 energizer lead by Ms. Jay L. Pilapil and was assisted by Ms.
35 Cyramae A. Enero” it became, “Ms. Honey Jane Pilapil called the
36 meeting to order at 4:16 PM with an energizer led by Ms. Jay L.
37 Pilapil and was assisted by Ms. Cyramae A. Enero”
38 Second, in B. Correction of the Previous Minutes part, since the
39 secretary of the previous minutes did not include the list of
40 corrections in her minutes, Mrs. Chrisna Jane N. Arcelo noted
41 that the list of the corrections should be presented as well.
42 Third, She also wanted to replace the proper noun “Mrs. Chrisna
43 Jane N. Arcelo” with the pronoun “She” since the previous
44 secretary emphasized the mentioned proper noun often times.
45 Fourth, She also wanted to mit the abbreviation “CEAP CESPA”
46 since the previous secretary presented her sentence in this way,
47 “Mrs. Chrisna Jane N. Arcelo announced that the TSS-CEAP
48 CESPA wull be relased March so the September takers can also
49 avail.”, it became “She announced that te TSS will be released
50 March so that the September takers can also avail.”
1
1 Lastly, She wanted the previous secretary to omit the “by” in
2 “Prepared by” and changed the “Noted by” to “Approved.”
3 C. Approval of the Previous Minutes
4 Mrs. Gladys P. Mendoza moved the approval of the previous
5 minutes and Mr. Gilbert C. Robaro seconded the motion.
6
7 III. Discussion of the Agenda:
8
9 A. October Fest:
10 Ms. Cyramae A. Enero and Ms. Abaigail M. Lawas presented the
11 mechanics and criteria of the possible activities. Mrs. Liza C. Rivera
12 suggested to changed the theme, “Teachers-Students Relationship” to
13 “A tribute for teachers”. Since most of the activities presented were all
14 about dance presentation, Ms. Honey Jane Pilapil shared the idea of
15 having the interpretative dance a very difficult one to realize because
16 of the lack of dancers that was why Mrs. Liza C. Rivera suggested that
17 those students who were assigned to perform a certain dance should
18 not be assigned to dance other dance presentation, on the other hand
19 Ms. Honey Jane Pilapil suggested to totally eliminate the interpretative
20 dance in the activity and this was supported by the idea of Mr. Jezreal
21 S. Icoy that interpretative dance was indeed difficult to realize. This
22 led the body to have a votation as to include the interpretative dance
23 or not by raising their hands. Using the simple majority rule of the
24 votation, it was agreed by the body to totally omit the interpretative
25 dance in the list of activities.
26 Before this issue ended, Ms Dolly asked if it was allowed to hire
27 a dance instructor for the rest of the approved dance presentations,
28 so, this led Ms. Cyramae A. Enero to emphasized hiring of dance
29 instructors was prohibited and was against from the given mechanics
30 and criteria. Mrs. Liza C. Rivera also added that all of the practices
31 should be supervised by a teacher.
32 Ms. Abaigail M. Lawas presented the criteria for Mr. and Ms
33 Ambassador. The body decided to have another votation wether to
34 hire a make-up artist or to let a student handle the make-up with the
35 assistance of the teacher. Using the simple majority rule of the
36 votation, it was agreed to let a student handle the make-up with the
37 assistance of the teacher.
38 Ms. Dolly presented the designated names of the committee and
39 coaches for the different sports. Mr. Jezreal S. Icoy suggested that the
40 school’s varsity players should not be allowed to play basketball since
41 it would give an advantage to their team, and this was agreed by Mrs.
42 Liza C. Rivera and approved by the schools’ basketball coach, Mr Junie
43 M. Aguilar.
44
45 B. Academic Coordinator’s Concern:
46 One of the ACAD’s concerns was the NAT. Mrs. Chrina Jane N.
47 Arcelo instructed the teachers to assist the proctors from other
48 schools and she reminded everyone that there should be no classes
49 for the higher years. Second concern was the tutorial. She
50 encouraged the teachers to conduct tutorials for those learners who
51 were to failed and having difficulties in their subjects. Third was to

2
1 remind the teachers regarding those two pregnant students to keep
2 their case confidential. She also informed the teachers that it’s up
3 to the teachers if they would conduct home visitations and on the
4 idea of letting the students get the modules from the school/office
5 or the teachers would be the one to hand it over to the concerned
6 students.
7 She also added the concern regarding the deliberation of grades
8 quarterly instead of having it during finals in order to avoid further
9 conflict and the body agreed to this idea so, it was finalized that the
10 deliberation should three (3) days prior to the date of the card
11 distribution. Before she ended her part, she gave reminders during
12 flag ceremony. First, the teachers should bring their things to be
13 used in the first period since right after the flag ceremony, they
14 should go directly to their assigned classes. Second, was to
15 minimize noise. Third, were the reminders for the special
16 examination intended for those students who were not able to take
17 the test, that they should be reminded by the teachers to get
18 special examination permit first before taking the test.
19 C. Coordinator of Student affairs:
20 Since there were no concerns given by the COSA office, the
21 discussion was moved directly to the Prefect of Discipline Office’s
22 concerns.
23
24 D. Prefect of Discipline Office:
25 Since there were also no concerns given by the POD office, the
26 discussion was moved directly to the other matters.
27
28 E. Other Matters:
29 A. Presentation of the Offerings for the Month Rosary:
30 Ms. Marie Cyril Elijah S. Argomido presented the specific
31 assigned offers for the month of Rosary. She mentioned that half of
32 the goods offered will be given to the Naga landslide victims. The
33 assigned offers are as follows:
34 -Grade 12 - Milk or Milo
35 -Grade 11 - Sugar

37 -Grade 9 - Soap/Shampoo/Laundry Soap

40 Mrs. Liza C. Rivera clarified that the Naga landslide victim were
41 no longer in need of foods, diapers, and underwear because they
42 have received a lot of donations already. So, according to her,
43 instead of donating goods for them, why not collect 10.00 php for
44 those who were willing to give and that collected amount will be
45 donated instead.
46
47 B. Registration for the Recollection:
48 Ms. Jelen C. Pasaje reminded the teachers to follow up their
49 students for the registration for the recollection worth 30.00 php.

51 matter, they were free to approach Mrs. Maribeth G. Pepito.
