Zumba reflection

Before starting this class, I was very nervous because I had never had any exercise routine before.

Attending Zumba class twice a week was a great and fantastic experience. It was a fun exercise, since the

other exercises that are done in the gym are very heavy for me. The movements I learned were taken from

other genres such as hip hop, salsa, cumbia, pop, reggaeton, etc. It was nice to be exposed to those different

types of dance because I had different movements that are not usual in the genre. In addition, my

coordination improved.

It was the first time I took this course at SLCC. In my country I went to a couple of classes but for lack of

time I could no go anymore.

This class helped me a lot to de-stress myself, to relax because during this semester I took many classes

that made me feel very tired, sometimes I felt very upset but when I started this class I began to feel much

better about myself. I want to continue this even outside of school because Zumba is very beneficial to

improve my health, my confidence and my mood.
