1. Objective
To ensure well planned and demarcated road, walkways, work and storage areas. To
create order.
2. Scope
This procedure is applicable to Esor Construction and any subcontractor who wants to
perform work on an Esor Construction premises.
This procedure is applicable to workshops and warehouses on Esor Construction
sites.

5. Responsibilities
It is the responsibility of the Manager or 16.2 Appointee to ensure that suitable SHE
standards and procedures are implemented and maintained on site, and to appoint
SHE Co-ordinators with appropriate authority for implementing and maintaining the
requirements of this element.
It is the responsibility of the SHE Co-ordinators to co-ordinate, monitor and control the
various activities pertaining to the implementation and maintenance of SHE-ECP-09-
010 – Aisles, Storage, Demarcation and Signposting in accordance with the laid down
requirements.
6. Procedure
Aisles and storage areas to be uniformly demarcated on floor with 50mm yellow lines
respectively except in office environments.
Aisles to be free from obstruction and protrusions.
Demarcation lines to be kept in good order.
Demarcation to be done under electrical switch gear and fire fighting equipment to
prevent obstruction (where applicable).
Where it is impossible to demarcate "keep clear" ones to be adhered to e.g. offices, wet
areas, etc., barricading methods will be sed.
All noise, respirators zones etc., to be demarcated by means of symbolic signs.
All waste bins and skip locations to be demarcated, except offices.
Colours for demarcation to be as per colour standard.
7. Training
All relevant parties and responsible persons to be trained within the contents of this
procedure. Employees to sign as proof of training and proof of training to be kept on file.
8. Records
All inspection records, registers, documents etc. must be kept on site for
record/document control and audit purposes.
