COURSE DESCRIPTION: The course deals with the interrelationship and interdependence of science, technology, and society with the various concepts and contexts that shape
and are shaped by our modern conceptualization of humanity. This emphasizes the effects of biological and physical sciences toward human
discoveries and inventions that change our historical, philosophical, socio-cultural, political, and economic landscapes. Furthermore, it engages the
students to face the realities brought by drastic changes caused by science and technology to society with emphasis on the inevitable pervasion of
such realities from the individual to the global levels. It then aims to instill the faculty of thinking (critical, analytical, logical, creative and reflective)
in the face of scientific, technological, and societal development.
