NARRATIVE REPORT

One of the ways on how I communicated effectively with my club members was
setting regular meetings. As the president of IGA (Interactive Group for the Arts), I set a
meeting every second week of the month for planning and evaluating activities of the club.
This was a time for me to present or remind the group about our action plan and to listen
to the opinions, reactions and suggestions of each member of the club regarding the plan
and the proposed activity . This was also a time for us to evaluate an activity that we
finished . During our meetings, I encouraged every member a chance to voice out his/her
concerns, feedback, and suggestions in implementing and improving an activity. I made it
clear during our meetings that everyone who speaks should be listened to regardless of our
differences in our points of view. I found this effective because most of the members of the
club spoke freely during our meetings. In order to reach out to the members of the club
any time and wherever they are, I created a group chat. This made it possible for every
member to get updates and news even if we don’t see one another because of our hectic
schedules.
I showed my initiative and responsibility by approaching my teachers whenever I
saw concerns regarding an activity or a problem in the school. I didn’t have to wait for the
teacher to tell me to act on something if I knew that it is my job as a leader. For example, I
knew that as a club president, I had to prepare an action plan, proposals, and
accomplishment reports that have to be submitted to the office of the SSG for compilation.
I did these and submitted them before the deadline. I also took the initiative to ask help
from my class adviser regarding a proposal that I prepared because it was returned by the
head teacher for it was not properly done. There was also an occasion when Ma’am Rullan
was absent. That was “Teachers Day.” Though I knew that it was risky to implement the
activity because my adviser was not with me, I still took the responsibility because I knew
that it is one of the special activities. I just took the initiative of communicating with
my club adviser through the phone and asking help from other teachers.
In order for my group or club mates to participate actively and effectively, I
explained to them the benefits of partaking in the activity. I also became a working buddy
instead of just assigning them tasks and leaving them to work on their own. I always did
my best to help them and work with them. It was the most efficient and effective way of
letting them participate because it showed them that if I can do it, then they can do it, too. It
showed them that if we work as one and not as individualistic members, we can reach our
goals for the club. I added some twist to our simple planned activities that made every
member feel excited to join. For example, during the celebration of the school’s Foundation
Day, we made our activity not as simple as selling something but we made use of our
specialization to raise funds. This gave an opportunity for each specialization to raise funds
because 80% of the gain went to each specialization and the 20% went to the club. With
this, I can say that I was able to engage active and effective participation from my club
members.
I establish collaborative relationship by letting my group or members of the club
work together with a clear purpose, open communication and trust. I made it a point that
every task that we accomplished was a product of different minds intertwined on the same
goals and objective of the club. For example, in planning an activity I took into account my
team’s views. I solicit their suggestions and consider their concerns. Everybody contributes

3|Page
his/her knowledge, skills, talents, and treasures in planning and implementing and activity
of the club.
There were times when my club mates and I encountered some conflicts during the
planning of activities. But I resolved them by trying to see what gets on the way of
understanding, by negotiating and allowing my club mates to express their concerns. I
listened to them with empathy and respect until we were able to meet at the middle.
Below are some of the instances when conflicts arise and how they were resolved.
October 4,2019- planning for the Teachers Day Celebration on October 14, 2019.
The meeting was held at the choir room 4:00-5:00 p.m. I started with the agenda
firstly with the theme for the celebration. So many ideas came out and this started a
conflict on which one to choose, but I resolved it by thinking about which was more
practical and crossing out the rest then I asked them to vote. We came up with the
same idea and proceeded to our other agenda.
January 22,2019- planning for the upcoming socialization night on February 3,2020.
The meeting was at the costume room together with the mentors. Again, the main
problem was we had lots of suggestions but we came up with two themes. We
decided to collect and hear the suggestions of the club members/participants until
we agreed on one theme.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

As part of the Youth Environment In School Organization (YES-O) I together with my

co-officers planned and decided to have a Weeding and Clean Up Drive activity along
Burnham – Legarda Barangay specifically near and around Baguio City National High
School and Athletic Bowl last January 27,2020 at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
I together with the other officers decided to push through with this activity because
we can help our environment specifically our school to be eco friendly by segregating and
cleaning the trash not only inside the school but rather outside of it
The Grade 10 teachers from different departments along with some Yes-O officers
and other students went to the back of the Alumni Building and started the weeding
activity. Each of us has a trash bag were we should put the trash that we got. I and other
participants also removed and clear unwanted plants near the pine trees which were
planted 2 years ago and pick up some residuals. After the activity, the bags of residuals
were brought to the residual disposal area between ESF bldg. and Flavier I bldg. and the
bags of PET bottles were brought to the MRF for storing.
It was observed during this activity that there were many residuals like plastic
wrappers, cups, cellophanes emptied bottles and lunch boxes, soiled clothes and the worst
is the cigarettes that were scattered along the area that made us shocked because of its
numerous number.
One of the contingency plans that we have if this activity will not have done during
the said date because of the busy schedule it will moved to next week but surely we will
push through with it even though there are less participants and will surely expected to
have successfully finish this activity.
As the secretary I monitored the implementation of this activity by preparing
attendance sheets were the participants should sign and add some documentation for
reference. We manage it by using the trash bags that were donated and given by the
students to lessen the expenses.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

As part of the main objective of my club IGA (Interactive Group for the Arts) to help
our school and community I planned to have an activity entitled Cultivating Love for a
Clean and Attractive Environment (A Clean-up Drive by the IGA Club) that is first held in
Malvar Street, Aurora Hill Baguio City on August 24, 2019.
I chose to do this, because we noticed that one of the dirtiest areas, in terms of
greenery was Aurora Hill. It was full of moss and vines that blocked some of the pathways
to residences in the area and it was becoming a place where stray dogs can defecate in.
I first planned the specific places where we could clean and asked permission from
the barangay officials if we could proceed the cleaning in their barangay. Then, we
enumerated the materials and utensils we needed for the process. After that we invited students
who were willing to oin the cleaning aside from the group members. I finalize everything like the
proposal, communication letter and the attendance sheet that we are going to use. Lastly, we
worked together to successfully achieve our goal.
One of the difficulties was the lack of materials such as trash bags and sacks to put the
dirt in, the barangay didn’t expect to collect that much dirt to be collected. But with the clubs
readiness we have prepared 20 sacks that I collected with the club members. Another hindrance
was the participation of the students, although they had committed to go there some of them
were either late or did not attend at all.
If the purpose of the activity did not bring the expected results, I would resort to an easier
process I the same location with simpler steps and lesser participants to make sure that there
would be organization in the work and to ensure that everyone is being supervised.
I monitored the implementation through attendance sheets and documentation. A also had
supervisors from each team of cleaners to see if the participants were actually contributing to the
cleaning. The barangay officials were also there to help and facilitate the whole process.
As the president, I distributed an equal amount of utensils to the participants and soe of
the materials were even recycled an reused as to not waste more materials, I make sure that
everyone had something to do and I also budgeted the materials before hand to avoid financial
issues in continuing the said activity.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
As the president of IGA (Interactive Group for the Arts) I inline my activities with
the clubs objective that our club should help not only our school but also our own school.
So I decided to go through with our project Cultivating Love for a Clean and Attractive
Environment (A Clean-up Drive by the IGA Club) that will be going to accomplished at our
building Baguio City National High School (PAGCOR Bldg.) on September 21, 2019.

I chose this activity because it will benefit us, the users of the building. It also brings
out the initiative that we have in order to keep our surroundings clean. Since we are the
once using the building, after all. And for this I am looking forward that our lower years will
take in-charge in improving and taking care of the said building.

First, we started from the first floor. I instructed them to clean the vandalize wall. I
divided the jobs from the walls, floors and posts. I showed them how to clean it properly
and they did it with me. Then we went to the second floor and did the same thing. We did
this from 8:30 a.m to 12:30 p.m.

The only difficulty that I saw or observed in this activity that we encountered was
the lack of water in our building. But by the way we conserve the limited water we finished
our own given tasked.

My contingency plan was to get water from the main building or the DECS building.
This has worked and we continued to do the job. I monitored the implementation
moderately strict. It was efficient and it helped us to do the job for a short period of time.

I decided that we will used the materials that we’re already present in our homes
and bought them to school. This has saved a lot of money and it was practical.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Another activity that is considered as part of the objective of the YES-O club is to
maintain the cleanliness and help the environment I together with my other co-officers
planned to collect the recyclables or what we call the Recyclables Collection Events . The
collection of recyclables were sold last October 02,2019 and November 06, 2019.
As the secretary, I chose to push through with this activity because with the help of
this trash or recyclables that we have, we can earn money that will help each class even
though its not too much.
The steps that is given to this activity is every Monday, Tuesday and Friday each
class should bring the white papers, colored papers and plastic bottles to the MRF. After
this every one month the collector will come and get this. As the secretary it is my duty to
record the corresponding weights and amounts of the given recyclables. After this, the
payment of recyclables were distributed or given to the sections (advisers) who brought
their recyclables at the MRF.
The difficulties that I encountered is there were bags of garbages that were not
segregated properly (mixed residuals, and papers). There were also plastic bottles with
residues of chewed betelnut or ”momma” inside.
The contingency plan that I planned to this activity is I should record the name of
the sections for reminding purposes. And in the other hand, when the collector will not
come it is our duty as officer to fix the MRF and segregate each trash to ensure that we will
earn money from it.
By the record list of the corresponding weights and amounts in every section I can
say that the club monitors the implementation of the activity. Thus this help me see
whether the section segregates its trash properly.
By the help of this residuals that we usually not see its importance I chose to
manage it as a resources of some money to help the class with not so much money. Because
even though in trash there is money when you use it properly.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

My fellow club mates and I planned an activity called the Music and Arts Outreach
Program that aims to teach children specifically children who are in the elementary to let them
know and add their knowledge about music and arts. The main objective of this activity is to
allow learners to acquire , develop and master skills which provide them better opportunities in
the field of Music and Arts.

My one stop for this activity is located at Gibraltar Elementary School. The specialization
that I assigned for this first activity is the Rondalla Group. Whre they teach the students
everything about Rondalla whether its about our instruments or used termenologies in the said
specialization.
We choose such activity to help those that wants to enter the specialization of Rondalla and make
it easier for them and that they’ll know what to expect when they want to enter such
specialization in Special Program in the Arts.

The steps of implementation me and the club members thought them first about the basics
in Rondalla like reading music notes and differentiating instruments. Afterwards, me and my
fellow club mates made a demonstrationon how to play said instruments and read music piece.
Lastly, we divided ourselves into different sections to prioritize each and every students on how
to play them properly.

The difficulties that I saw in this activity is some of them don’t want to cooperate and are
lazy to learn with there fellow students. But nothing more nothing less this activity went fine.
Incase this activity is cancelled due to unforeseen events , our mentor can simply postpone our
activity to another date. In this activity we don’t have enough instruments for the students, so we
decided that we lent the instruments to them first and later and borrow them when they need
example.
Their may be some difficulties but as a leader I can say that this activity is successful
with the help of our mentors and my club mates. And ia am looking forward that this students
will soon be part of the Speacial Program in the Arts.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT
As the president of IGA (Interactive Group for the Arts) one activity that I planned is
the Socialization Night with the Theme: “Pagniningning ng mga Nagkakaisang Alagad ng
Sining” exclusively for the Grade 9 and 10 students of the IGA club. This activity aims to
conduct a productive socialization with each SPA student before the school year ends.

I chose this activity because it will help fellow students and teachers socialize with
each other. I also believe that it is good for the strengthening of our club. It will help us to
interact with each other without awkwardness. That this tradition of our program will
pass on generation to another.

The first step is to propose and gather ideas from my club adviser and club officers.
Once we’ve done this, I made a proposal to get the activity approved. When it was approved
by our dear principal I already prepared a letter to inform our parents about the
contribution of this activity. With the help of our advisers we successfully distributed the
letters. After a week with the help of group adviser , we already booked the venue, which is
Hotel Supreme. After all the necessary collections, buy all the materials needed, we
successfully had the prom at the right time and day.

The only difficulty I’ve encountered is the fact that some didn’t agree with the motif
of modern filipiniana or modern ethnic. But afterwards majority wins with the help of the
clubs opinion and suggestion I decided that we will choose what the majority says.

I monitored the implementation by sampling being there at the planning. I was there
to check the venue, to decide on the motif and I was in the practices for the cotillion.
Likewise, during the socialization day, I printed a registration form to monitor the activity.

We managed with the help of our club adviser who helped us. We didn’t have much
resources for this except our creativity and willingness to help one another.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

One activity that I prepared is the Teacher’s Day Program held at the Audio Visual
Room BCNHS on October 14,2019. This activity is chosen due to the popular tradition that
we have held ever since we were in Grade7. I wanted to make this a memorable program
for them.
I chose this activity to show our appreciation and to give thanks to our subject
teachers and SPA mentors. I wanted to give this activity to them to show them that we are
truly thankful for their hard work and dedication in teaching us. This is also serves as an
apology if we ever made them feel angry, mad or sad about our actions and behaviors. I
believe that this will help them continue their endeavors even if they lack the motivation at
some days.
I have implemented this program by first deciding to collect our extra materials
from previous activities to be made into decorations. We simply cut out some colored
papers and pasted them in the AVR for simple decorations. The next step is collecting a
small contribution for the food and additional token for our teachers. The next step is
printing out invitations for teachers. Lastly, after everything was prepared , we passed
these invitations to teachers.
The only problem that I have encountered is the lack of space for all the students to
fit in the AVR with the teachers. This isn’t really a big problem but we have seen it coming. I
just got on with our contingency of backup plan. So, what we decided to do is allow the
officers to be the ones in the room to let the program flow smoothly. It was a good thing we
though of this back up plan.
I successfully implemented this because of my member’s willingness to do this
program for our teachers. This served as our motivation to push through. They also
followed easily because they really wanted this program to be successful.
I managed to use more of the materials we already had than buying something. We
have used old colored papers and other cloths that have been scraps and excess stock from
previous activities we had this had been helpful because we had more money too spend on
food and tokens for teachers.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

“The sport in scouting is to find the good in everybody and develop it.”-unknown

One activity that I participated is the SOFAD (Scout Officer for a Day) that is held at
Baguio City National High School on October 9, 2019.

The purpose of this activity is to showcase to the public and to stakeholders the
contribution of scouting through the development of young people. By actively engaging
and supporting the community to become agents of change in our respective communities.
And by this activity us, young people of the modern time may develop our skills in
leadership with a goal and nice intentions.

In this activity my role is a Scout Administrative Officer IV for a day. With the help
of Ma’am Mylene James who stand as the School Administrative Officer IV my day being a
school officials is as magical as I imagine.

As I observe the biggest impact of this activity in the community is we develop the
connection in everybody. This activity teach us to know the importance of communication
that we should do to run a school or a community. With the help of the officials or the
school administration even though we stand for them in only one day we already have an
idea on how they work behind all the success of the school.

If I were the organizer of another activity I could say that I will extend the number of
days that our SOFAD or us scout will sit in our given position. In this, I can say that we
could really see the difficulties that our officials are going through everyday.

This activity thought me that being a leader is measured in action not in words.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

This school year one activity that I participated is the Annual Tree Planting Of
Supreme Student Government of Baguio City Division held at Loakan Road and Hillside
Barangay Watershed held on August 21,2019.
This activity aims to help the environment by which one of their chosen thing to do
is to plant trees in some areas here in Baguio. The DepEd Division of Baguio together with
the DENR allotted 3,000 tress that we students will plant. Each of us is required to plant 5
to 6 trees whether it is Arabica tree or a pine tree. Speakers from the DENR thought us
how to plant properly. Before we go to the respective watershed we went on clean-up drive
where we walked along the road going to Loakan an picked some of the residuals that is
being littered along the street.
My role in the said activity is an individual whoa as a responsibility. That being a
president of one club in BCNHS supporting the reforestation of our city in our watershed to
help and heal the environment.
The impact that I observe in this reforestation activity is that we as aspiring leaders
of tomorrow know and and observed the importance of trees in the environment. And the
impact in our community of this activity is the older ones is assured that we the nest
generation will continue to see and protect our environment.
As the activity ended when time comes that I will be given the opportunity to
organize an activity I will proposed an activity that every month we should plant trees in
our different watersheds and the participants would be the elementary students who are
aspiring to be leaders of tomorrow. This activity will help develop and raise awareness
about or community by helping hands.

Another activity that I decided to join this school year is the TFAD (Teacher for a
Day) held at Baguio City National High School held on September 30, 2019.
The purpose of this activity is to develop the skills of the students I terms of the
everyday work of our teachers. A one day activity that we, students feel the tiredness and
enjoyment of being a teacher. We are given a task by our teacher to teach or to give an
activity with our schoolmates.
In this day I stand as an English teacher which I manage the difficult task that was
given to me by Mrs. Lourdes Peckley. Ma’am Peckley task me to discuss a specific topic that
made me puzzle on how will I discuss this so that my schoolmates will not feel bored in my
discussion. So I’ve decided and prepared some games and fun activities.
The impact of this activity for me is i learn to manage my time not just my time but
also my self to achieve the given task given by the teacher. Another impact to the
community is I saw the hard work and patience of a teacher on how to handle a class with
so many conflict to fix. This scenario made me realize that we should not down grade this
profession because if there is no teachers there is no engineer or other professions.
If I would be given a chance to make another activity I would not waste the concept
of TFAD but I would rather add a day that a student will stand as a teacher. By this concept
it will surely show us the pain and success of a teacher not just one day it could be for a
week.

ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

Another activity that I participated is the #RAISEYOURFLAG (Seminar on Gender

Sensitivity and Mental Health Awareness) at Fr. Francis Gevers Hall, Silang Building, Saint
Louis University-Main Campus on July 4, 2019.
This activity aims to conduct a seminar to high school and collage students on how
we should look upon gender equality, with barrier ad line with all the gender. Talks about
the different types of gender that our generation has. Furthermore, talks about the rights
and the bills that we should know if we violated it. Examples of which is the discrimination
that we usually do. This seminar also talks the women and children their rights and the
bills also that we should know. For me this activity made me realize that we shouldn’t take
advantage on everything lets listen in every opinion without judging them in advance. The
speaker gave many situations were we could see the discrimination and judgements of one
person. That helps me imagine and recognize the thought of the seminar. Moreover I heard
here in the seminar that discrimination and simple judgement can affect our mental health.
That even though one word can affect it, because sometimes we cannot control to over
think and that may add difficulties in our mental health.
My role in this activity is as a club president I get the chance and opportunity to
know more about gender sensitivity and a person who supports the LGBTQ+ movement. I
stand as a volunteer to see and to learn about the rights and bills of every gender.
One impact of this activity to us and in our activity is they added information and
knowledge about the rights that the LGTQ+ raise to put on equality to every gender. Make
me, us realize the beauty of a hand in hand movement that we should support each other.
Make me realize that mental health is more important than everything.
If I were to organize an activity involving and aligned in this activity is the
#FREETOLOVE. This activity aims to conduct and re-eco about what they said SOGIE bill
that adds more knowledge on what our LGBTQ+ raises. This activity allocates that we
should have the freedom to love with no barrier and exchange with something.
