On June 19,1861, Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado Y
Alonzo Realonda was born in Calamba, Laguna. A
brilliant student who became proficient in
multiplelanguages. He studied medicine in
Manila. In 1882, he traveled to Spain to complete
his medical degree.

form. The plural form of noun pertains to a quantity

 Most nouns form its plural by adding


-s /-es to the singular.
 Nouns ending in -s, -ss, -x, -ch, -sh
form its plural by adding -es.
 Nouns ending in -y preceded by a
consonant from its plural by changing
-y to -i and add -es.
 Nouns ending in -y preceded by a
vowel form its plural by adding -s.

 Nouns ending in -f preceded by a


vowel or consonant form its plural by
changing -f to -v and add -es.
 Nouns ending in -f form its plural by
retaining its spelling and by adding -s.
 Nouns ending in -fe form its by
changing
-fe to -v and add -es.

plural by adding -s /-es to the singular. Example is
magazine, to form its plural add -s to the end of the
word and it will become magazines.”
