A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on August 25th, 2020. The meeting convened at 9:00 am, Dr.
LeCompte presiding and Kevin O. Cruz-Colón, secretary. All students attended except: Mileyshka Loyo
Rivera.

Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the August 13th, 2020 meeting were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed:
1. Dr. LeCompte welcomed the students. Three students volunteered to be secretaries for August
25th, 2020.

2. Dr. LeCompte proceeded to discuss the course agenda.

3. The students did a free writing exercise that consisted in writing their answers for the questions:

“If you could choose a superpower, what would you choose and why? How would you use it?”
The exercise lasted two minutes.

4. Cristian Arena and Kevin Hernández volunteered to read their answers for the free writing
exercise.

5. Dr. LeCompte explained the minutes discussion dynamic. Students proceeded to download
Jairs s, Yarek s and Jacob s respectives minutes. The minute discussion started.

6. Dr. LeCompte spoke about the Trip Report assignment. To be graded for this assignment,
students should present evidence of attendance, such as a participation certificate or a certification
from the host of the meeting.

7. Dr. LeCompte told the students to download free Google Meet extensions to improve the video
conference application.
