ENGL 4021 MINUTES
Meeting Date: September 3rd, 2020

Call to Order:
A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on September 3rd, 2020. The meeting convened at 9:00 am,
Professor LeCompte presiding and Cydmary N. Torres Montosa, secretary. All students attended except:
Irianis Echeverria Rojas, Mileyshka Loyo Rivera and Yaidelis Rodriguez Avilés.

Approval of Minutes:
No prior minutes were approved since there were no secretaries selected for the meeting of September 1st,
2020.

Matters Discussed:

1. Professor Le Compte welcomed students to the meeting and assigned the secretaries for the
minutes.

2. The professor presented the agenda of the day and the students completed the free writing
exercise: “If you were to inhabit the world of any video game or computer game, which one
would you select?”

3. Professor Le Compte reviewed the instructions of mousetraps and the Venn Diagram.

4. The professor discussed the characteristics of technical instructions for future assignments.

5. Professor Le Compte discussed a brainstorm where most of the examples of graphs.

6. The professor explained what an outline is and what it is used for.

7. Le Compte assigned pairs to make an outline from the Venn Diagram of the mousetraps by
September 7th, 2020 on Moodle platform.

8. Professor Le Compte reminded students to read Chapters 1 and 2 of “Pocket Guide to

Technical Communication” for next week.

9. The professor divided the students in groups for the Progress Report.

Adjournment: The meeting was adjourned at 10:21 a.m.
