ENGL 4021 M03 MINUTES
Meeting Date: August 22, 2023

Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce (UPRP) was
held in room MTC-3 of the Ruth Fortuño Academic Building on August 22, 2023. The meeting convened
at 9:00 a.m, Professor LeCompte presiding and Jan C. Machado Torruella, secretary. All students
attended except: Carolina Santiago.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the August 17th, 2023, meeting were approved after corrections.
Matters Discussed:

1. Professor Le Compte welcomed students and commenced the class with a free writing
exercise. The students had to answer the following question: “What is your all-time favorite
scene in a movie?”

2. The professor gave an assignment in which the students need to do a trip report. Students have
to attend a conference and write a technical report about said activity. Professor LeCompte
highlighted the importance of a technical evidence for the work.
Technical evidence can be a:
a) Certificate
b) Technical attendance list
c) Certification (Organizer certifies attendance)

3. The chair finished the discussion of the technical instructions and graphic organizer about the
mouse traps.

4. To conclude the class, she gave a homework in which the same pairs of students that worked in
the mouse trap together, transform the Venn diagram into an Outline.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 10:25 a.m.
