ENGL 4021 L06 MINUTES
Meeting Date: September 6th, 2023

Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 L06 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce (UPRP) was
held in room MTC3 of the Ruth Fortuño Academic Building on September 6th, 2023. The meeting
convened at 3:03pm, Professor LeCompte presiding and Alexis J. Torres Rivera, secretary. All students
attended.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the August 30th, 2023, meeting were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed :

1. Professor Le Compte welcomed the students and began the class with a free writing exercise.
The students had to describe two editorial cartoons related to the documentary, The Future of
Food.

2. The professor gave a quiz of the documentary, The Future of Food.

3. Professor Le Compte highlighted details related to the documentary. The class discussed the
part of the section of the keywords and their different connotations, denotations, and definitions.
The professor mentioned the effects of monocultures in different countries from ancient times to
the present.

4. For the next class, students must watch the second documentary in Moodle, Food Evolution.

Adjournment : The meeting adjourned at 4:15pm.
