ENGL 4021 L03 MINUTES
Meeting Date: September 2nd, 2020

Call to Order:
A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 L03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on September 2nd, 2020. The meeting convened at 1:30pm,
Professor LeCompte presiding and Joao Báez Ordoñez, secretary. All students attended except: Nancy
Jordan Sotomayor, Jaymarie Ramos Quiñones, and Luis Reyes Báez.

Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the August 31st, 2020 meeting were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed: eliminate

1. The students completed the free writing exercise, which was: “If you were to inhabit the world of
any video or computer game, which one would you select?”, and two of them volunteered to read
theirs.

2. Three students presented their minutes: Amanda Acosta Mirabal, Nelmilian Meléndez García, and
Luis A. De Jesús Trochez. The professor corrected them and the students approved them.

3. The professor reviewed the elements needed in technical instructions:

a) Title
b) Introductory sentence
c) Numbered steps
d) Labeled diagram
e) Warning

4. The professor explained what an outline is and discussed its proper structure.

5. The professor explained the outline assignment and assigned partners to work on it.

6. The professor discussed the final project and showed how the groups are distributed.

7. The professor assigned the students to read the first two chapters of the guide.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 2:49pm.
