ENGL 4021 M03 MINUTES
Meeting Date: September 8th, 2020

Call to Order:
A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was
held remotely via Google Meet on September 10th, 2020. The meeting convened at 9:00 a.m,
Professor LeCompte presiding and Dereck X. Altori Nieves, secretary. All students attended
except: Mileyshka Loyo Rivera and Yaidelis Rodríguez Aviles.

Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the September 3rd, 2020 meeting were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed:
1. Professor Le Compte welcomed students to the class meeting and presented them the
agenda for the day.

2. The professor gave a 10-minute quiz to corroborate the students understanding of Chapter
2 of the Pocket Guide to Technical Communication.

3. Professor Le Compte discussed Chapter 2 of the of the Pocket Guide to Technical

Communication. The professor emphasized the importance of the beginning and ending
parts of a technical report, and explained what an ABC format is, and why it is crucial for a
good technical report.

4. The professor assigned the students to watch a documentary called: “The future of foods”.
Along side this the students must complete the key words, and some guide questions to be
prepared for next class corroboration quiz about the documentary.

5. Professor Le Compte announced that soon there will be an exam that will cover all the
material discussed up to this point.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
