Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M06 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was
held remotely via Google Meet conference on September 8th, 2020. The meeting convened at
10:34am, Professor LeCompte presiding and Valerie Orengo Casiano, secretary. All students
attended except Yreisa L. Febles Burgos.

Approval of Minutes:
Minutes of the September 3rd, 2020 meeting were approved after corrections. Motions were
presented by Yandreliz Gonzalez, Angel Santos, Alejandra Ortiz, and Valerie Orengo Casiano.

Matters Discussed:
1. Professor LeCompte administered a Corroboration Quiz of Chapter One. We (The students )
were to returned to the meeting at 10:55am.
2. Professor LeCompte discussed Chapter One of the book (Pocket Guide to Technical
Comunucation) and told us (the students) to remember key components.
· Write for a practical purpose
· complete the readers Matrix (depending the audience and purpose the document
will change)
· apply the KISS Principle (Keep It Short and Simple)
· Draft
· To revise in stages: content, style, grammar, mechanics, and graphics.
3. LeCompte explained the assignment which consisted of reading Chapter Two of the B(b)ook
for Thursday, September 10th, 2020.
