ENGL 4021 M03 MINUTES
Meeting Date: February 7th, 2023

Call to Order:

A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce (UPRP) was
held in room MTC-1 of the Ruth Fortuño Academic Building on February 7th, 2023. The meeting
convened at 10:34am, Professor LeCompte presiding and Jelizalee Velázquez Vélez, secretary. All
students attended except: Shown Muñiz Rodríguez, Maria Calaf Gelpi, and Luis Martínez.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the February 2nd, 2023, meeting were approved after corrections by members of the course.

Matters Discussed:

1. Professor Le Compte welcomed students and started the class with the free writing exercise
with the following prompt: “What is your all-time favorite scene in a movie?”.

2. The professor gave the students a quiz regarding Chapter 2 of the Pocket Guide to Technical
Communication.

3. Professor LeCompte handed out to the students the quiz of Chapter 1 and the outline with their
respective grades.

4. Le Compte discussed Chapter 2 of the Pocket Guide, where she explained the ABC Format and
design rules for technical documents.

5. The chair assigned the students to watch the documentary The Future of Food for the next class.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 11:47am.
