Levels of Technology Integration:

☐ Infusion Level: Students may work at a higher Bloom’s Level, but they do not have any “Voice or Choice”
during the activity and most of the decisions are made by the teacher.

☒ Integration Level: We would like to see ALL lessons/activities reach this level. The project is student-
driven. Students have “Voice and Choice” in the activities, selecting the topic of study and determining the
technology tool to demonstrate mastery of the standard. All products of learning are unique and
personalized. The teacher becomes more of a facilitator walking around monitoring the student-led
activity.
☐ Expansion Level: The projects created are shared outside of the classroom, publishing student work and
promoting authorship. This could be reached by showcasing the project on the school’s morning
newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, or publishing via an outside source.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL):

 The students will have the option to work in groups of 2 or 4, or individually.
 There will be an example for students to continue to look at.
 The students can be as creative or as basic as they chose to be.
 To engage the student, they will be able to choose the platform they work with.
 The instructions will be available as a printout, but I will also create a video of me explaining the
instructions. This will be for students who need to hear and read instructions. Having a video of the
instructions will give the option for subtitles and translations in different languages.
 Before starting the project, we will think-pair-share. The students will write down different ideas that
they are thinking of when they read the instructions, then we will get into groups and share our ideas.
Lesson idea implementation: The day before the lesson, at any point in the day, I will ask the students what
time it is. The day I introduce the project, I will have the students start out by having a class discussion about
what all their day entails. What time does the bus come, what time do they have dinner, what time do they
go to specials, etc. Then we will read my digital book. I will then play my instruction video. The students will
brainstorm what platform they’d want to use, and what all they want to include in their day. The project is
the students will create a book talking about their day or an imaginary character’s day. The point is to have
clocks and tell the time using hours and minutes. We will share the digital books with the class.
Reflective Practice: This lesson is designed to help students read analog clocks and tell time using hours and
minutes. In the book they are creating, they will repeat this practice multiple times. After the lesson, we will
have time to share our books and we can then use another tool called Padlet to share grows and glows about
the books they read or watched. This lesson will give the students room to design their own learning by
