STATIONS
PRELIMINARIES
• Check the presence of children and notify the rules to be followed in the
STATION 1 - classroom.
TEACHER-LED • Begin by praying
• Greet everyone a good morning
• Make sure the children are ready to listen to their lesson
• Show the ppt slide
HOOK:
• The teacher begins the class with a priming activity.
• The teacher then gives examples and the students answer the
questions.
• The teacher then shows a picture; What does this picture show you?

• Name the shapes that can be seen in the picture


1. What shape is the red part?
2. What shape is the purple part?
3. What shape is this green part?
4. Lastly what shape is the blue part?

After the priming activity, the processing will then follow. The teacher will then ask
following questions to the class.
1. How many shapes are there in the picture?
2. When you were in kindergarten have you discussed these shapes?

LESSON PROPER:
Presentation
1. The teacher will then start the class with the lesson “Recognizing the
Four Basic Shapes”.
− Triangle
− Square
− Circle
− Rectangle
2. The teacher begins the discussions by presenting slides about the
lesson.
• The teacher will show examples of how to classify each form.
• The teacher allows students to observe and tell the class the
difference between a square and a rectangle.
3. The teacher will ask the students.
a. In your living room what things are cricle?
b. What other things in your living room is the rectangle?
c. In your bedroom, what objects are square?
d. In your kitchen what food, or thing is tringle?
4. The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will be given
a number of shapes.
• Each group should make a human face using the shapes given
to them.
• After each group has created their own human face, the teacher
will grade the students ’work on this scale.

5. The teacher will then give some pictures that would signify the four
basic shapes.

Processing
1. After the activity, the teacher will introduce “Mr. Shape Head” with a
song.
• Sing the song first with the teacher and have the students sing with
the teacher afterwards:

Synthesis
After performing the processing, the teacher will then ask the students what they
already know using the questions below:
a. What are the four basic shapes?
b. What is the difference between a square and a rectangle?
c. Give me 3 things that are _____________ objects (circle, square,
rectangle, and tringle)
d. As a grade 1 student, how important are the shapes to you?
Formation
• What are some good habits that you will develop in doing math work?
• What are some inappropriate behaviors that should be eganged to greatly
improve the performance of math tasks?
• First of all, do you have difficulties learning lessons? How can you
overcome the difficulties you are feeling in studying the lesson?
STATION 2 – The teacher will divide the class into 3 groups. Each group will be given a number of
COLLABORA shapes.
TIVE • Each group should make a human face using the shapes given to them.
LEARNING • After each group has created their own human face, the teacher will grade
the students ’work on this scale.
• The teacher will then give some pictures that would signify the four basic
shapes.
