According to EPC contract, the GRP no need to get approval by Owner. There is not mentioned GRP material in schedule 16 “Major and
Approved Subcontractors”. When GRP material inspection on site. DVN shall be attached quality document.

- DVN has changed the hydro test holding time from the pressure and leak test of piping method statement NS2-DD09-P0ZEN-740014
and mentioned that the test pressure holding time 10 minutes instead of 2 hours. DVN is required to mention in which standard
describe the test pressure holding time 10 minutes for GRP piping. And also, please revise the pressure and leak test of piping
method statement NS2-DD09-P0ZEN-740014 accordingly.
- During pressure test all the field joints shall be left fully exposed for inspection. Half exposed for inspection is not acceptable.
Please revise in the MS.

The Owner/OE does not agree the GRP piping test pressure holding time 10 minutes and concluded that 10 minutes holding time is
inadequate for leakage inspection. We would suggest a longer holding time of 30 minutes during pressure test.
Based on Hydro Test pressure holding time of 30 minutes and 2 hours which was done for the first test package DVN should give the
Guarantee for the GRP piping quality up to 35 years of the plant operation life period.
Contractors response dated 27-03-2020
As discussed on weekly meeting. It is 2 hours holding time for GRP test in ISO 14692-4.4 Petroleum and natural gas industries which is
applied in natural gas not water in power plant. It is specified 1.5 times of design pressure with at least 10 minutes holding time for GRP
hydraulic test according to ASME B31.1 Power Piping, which is generally applied in power plant system. However, DVN would propose
“30 minutes holding time under 1.5 times of design pressure” to ensure GRP safe operation.

DVN’s proposal of Golden Joints instead of hydro test for test package-3 is not acceptable. The purpose of hydro test is not only for pipe
joints and also ensure the pipe materials quality without any defects and leakages. DVN is required to do the hydro test for pipeline test
package-3
